A Very Ready Weekend

We were very excited to host Joe, Amy and Ashley for a weekend visit in August. Amy and Ashley had not been down to see the house and surrounding area so this was a good opportunity for their family to spend the weekend with us. My sister Lindsay was fortunate enough to still be here Friday night when they arrived and got to meet sweet Ashley for the first time.

The weekend was perfect and filled with lots of playtime with Ashley. Ashley enjoyed playing with all of our not so child friendly decorative trinkets. The Dinex plate ware I have from doing consultant long term care work in TX came in very handy. When we were in TX the twins loved playing with the plate ware and Ashley seemed to enjoy it as well.  Ashley will be a great tea party host when she grows up ;)

Saturday, Joe showed us some houses we were interested in seeing in the town of Old Saybrook. What can I say, its great having a real estate broker in the family! We enjoyed looking at a couple houses and appreciated Amy and Ashley being so patient while we toured them. Unfortunately we didn't see anything we were interested in placing offers on. Thus the search continues.

After we looked at houses we took Ashley to a local park in Old Saybrook. I think we all enjoyed the fresh air and time on the swing set.

Saturday night, Kevin cooked steaks on the grill along with his famous baked potatoes. It was a perfect night with many laughs had by all.
